Wedding Catering FAQs
FAQs are a helpful tool to become acquainted with any event or wedding supplier. Whether you’d like to know how far we’ll travel for your special day or what our waiting staff wear at your wedding, we’ve put together a list of commonly asked questions for you.
How far do you travel for a wedding?
Based in beautiful Larkhall, Bath, we focus on West Country Weddings within a 35 mile radius. We’re flexible folk, though, and further travel can be arranged depending on logistics of your wedding.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
We strive to cater for all dietary and religious needs including but not limited to vegan, vegetarian, lactose free, gluten free and kosher. It’s important to us that our chefs and managers are trained on all aspects of allergen handling.
Do you cater for children?
Whether you’re looking for smaller portions of your main wedding breakfast option or a more child-friendly dish, we can create something for your little guests!
Are we able to taste the food before our wedding?
Wedding menu tastings are a great opportunity to sit back and relax, envisaging how your wedding day will play out in our safe and friendly hands. We offer one wedding menu tasting for the happy couple around 6 months in advance of their wedding day, with house wines to accompany their chosen dishes. This service is charged at £75 per person if you do not proceed.
Can we offer our guests choices of each course?
Although our standard pricing includes a single choice for all guests, options are available on request for a surcharge. A detailed table plan of which guest is sitting where, along with the menu choice, is required to ensure we offer a slick service during the wedding breakfast.
Do you cater for all aspects of the wedding day?
From canapés to evening food, we cover all aspects of wedding catering. Canapés are a great way to offer your guests a flavour of what’s to come at the wedding breakfast, offering colourful, vibrant and seasonal morsels. Our evening food options offer an indulgent snack to keep wedding guests legs moving on the dance floor.
What time will you arrive on the day?
Our set-up team arrive on site at least three hours before your arrival drinks and canapés, depending on how much co-ordination and set up you require help with.
Will you cut and serve our wedding cake?
We can provide a cake knife for a surcharge, and will slice up your wedding cake and serve it whether you’re looking to provide a sweet treat alongside coffee, or something to keep your guests going on the dance floor. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for the safety of food not provided by us.
Will you set up our wedding tables?
We are very happy to help with table set-up. We ask that you box up your table decorations, place cards and table numbers per table for us to set up on the morning of your event. We will dress the tables with linen, crockery and cutlery before adding your finishing touches!
What staff do you provide and how many?
Each wedding is unique, some requiring a small army of amazing waiting staff, and others requiring the addition of one or two incredible bar tenders… We’ll work with you to put together the perfect team for your day including wedding co-ordinators, chefs and serving staff. We have a pool of local, regular event staff, who will be dressed in black shoes and trousers with white shirts and brown canvas aprons.
Can we help design our dream menu?
We know that food has an important part in recreating your story, whether that’s a canapé with a nod to your favourite childhood meal, or a sharing starter featuring tapas that you enjoyed on your first date over a glass of red wine. We’ll work with you to create a bespoke menu, coupled with our expertise and exquisite local produce.
