Real Wedding: C & E

A stunning Georgian Mansion with a pair of llamas for neighbours… Catherine & Ed chose Sparkford Manor for their intimate wedding and we were honoured to be a part of their day. Sparkford Manor’s grade II listed house can be hired exclusively for the day, weekend or event the whole week! With rolling parkland, charming gardens and an orchard, this Somerset wedding venue is all you’ve dreamed of.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

The venue is licensed to hold ceremonies in the grounds, with the most picturesque backdrop. Catherine & Ed said ‘I do’ with their wedding venue in the background, with guests seated on a mismatch of antique style chairs.

Wedding Canapés

After the formalities, guests enjoyed Champagne in stylish saucers, ice cold beers and a selection of our canapés. Catherine & Ed chose an entirely veggie line up for their canapés: courgette, feta & mint for colour, onion bhajis and roquefort & pear toasts to name a few. We circulate our hearty canapés on rustic boards, slates and trays.

Wedding Tablescapes

Oh boy did Catherine have a vision for her tables… Blush pink napkins, crystal cut glassware and such romantic flowers. The dining room was transformed to feel like an ultra stylish mansion in the centre of London! We loved the antique style furniture, and having guests sat banquet style really brought a sense of intimacy.

Somerset Wedding Menu

Catherine & Ed opted to go straight into their main course. The banquet style tables worked well for a sharing style feast, and so the couple chose our feasting lamb main course. Slow roasted merguez lamb shoulder with tahini and an array of colourful sides were brought out for guests to share across the table. Vegetarian guests enjoyed cauliflower shawarma with a spinach & coconut dhal!

Dessert was our popular orange & cardamom creme brulee - a refreshing twist on a classic dessert!

Somerset Wedding Venue

Sparkford Manor is a perfect spot for dancing the night away! After the wedding breakfast, guests made their way over to the party barn to celebrate. A brief tea/coffee interlude was enjoyed before it was back to bubbles and beers. We kept guests energised on the dance floor with Somerset sourdough toasties.
