Real Wedding: B & M

Back in April, we had the pleasure of catering for Bryony, Mark and their family and friends at the beautiful Pennard House. A venue we know inside and out, yet still looks gloriously unique every time our brides and grooms get their hands on the place. Filled with personal touches, Bryony’s own designs and stationery, and the most brilliant flowers, we think you’re going to love this one.

The Wedding Party

With an eye for detail, every aspect of Bryony and Mark’s special day had clearly been thoroughly considered. From her beautiful soft blue Flordeasoka shoes and delicate dress to the bridesmaids soft and flowing looks, everything had a real charm to it.

The groomsmen’s ties and buttonholes perfectly complimented the colour scheme with peach, apricot, neutrals and sage green.

Canapé Reception

Cocktails and canapés - a match made in heaven and the very best way to get your wedding reception started in our opinion! Bryony and Mark chose colourful Aperol Spritz, fizz and an array of canapés to get their guests excited for the main event. Their canapé choices packed a punch - including Crab Cakes with Sweet Chilli and Spiced Chicken with Sumac Labneh, both filled with oodles of flavour.

Coach House Wedding Breakfast

A coach house wedding breakfast never looks the same at Pennard House - we’re always in awe of how couples put their own stamp on this beautiful and rustic space. A ‘flower cloud’ from the dream team at Copper Green added a whimsical feel, bringing the ceiling down and adding texture.

Stems in bud vases adorned the tables, dotted with delicate taper candles and Bryony’s own stationery. We loved the wedding menus, featuring a fun colourful font to add something a little different!

For their wedding breakfast, Bryony and Mark chose a plated three course meal. Tiger prawns with red mojo sauce started things off, before tucking into our tender braised beef dish with seasonal vegetables. Dessert was indulgent; salted chocolate tart with raspberries and vanilla cream.

Wedding Cake Backdrop

After the wedding breakfast, it was time for cake, and what a gorgeous one it was. Pennard House boasts one of the most beautiful backdrops for a cake cutting. The spot for your florist to really show off their style, the staircase always looks truly stunning. Copper Green had created a wild meadow style display with all sorts of colour and texture including beautifully bendy tulips and delphiniums poking up through the bannisters.

We wouldn’t be able to share this glorious day with you without the wonderful Alba Turnbull - we were quite mesmerised by her images when they landed in our inbox on a Monday morning. Filled with colour and the true essence of the day, thank you Alba for sharing them with us.
